The Weeknd is set to wrap up his five-year 'After Hours Til Dawn' world tour in Kuala Lumpur on November 4 and 5, with an estimated 130,000 fans expected across two nights at TM National Stadium in Bukit Jalil, Malay Mail reported.
Merchandise rush
Ahead of the shows, a huge crowd formed early on Tuesday (November 3) for the merchandise pre-sale at Bukit Jalil. Malay Mail reported that fans began lining up from about 10am even though the booth was not due to open until 2pm. The report described a mix of fans, personal shoppers and parents among those queuing.
Getting there
Because of the large numbers, authorities and transport operators have prepared special arrangements. Rapid KL has announced extended last train departures at selected MRT and LRT stations for the concerts, and Malay Mail published a guide on last train schedules, interchange cut-offs and parking. Federal Territories Minister Hannah Yeoh has also spoken about plans to ease concert traffic around Bukit Jalil, including a micro-traffic management study.
Tips for concert-goers
Fans are advised to arrive early, use public transport where possible, check the latest train schedules and keep in mind that flash floods and heavy rain have hit parts of the Klang Valley in recent days. Bring valid tickets, follow the venue's rules and keep an eye on official announcements for any last-minute changes.
